Friends & Family

Time has flown by the last month and so much is going on at Camp Clark. School is wonderful and the kiddos have been thriving, work is busy, Dave has been getting serious interest in his invention and we are in the midst of selling our home and looking for another. But we are never too busy for family and friends. Last week I attended the mothers of multiples state convention in Duluth along with my favorite triplet mamas. We had a blast as ususal and shared lots of great conversations. We were also at the infamous Grandma's bar after dinner and we got to witness U of M Duluth win the national collegiate hockey tournament over Michigan. It was amazing and very exciting to hear the roar of celebration! The weekend was a welcome break but by Sunday, we were a bit beat up, missing our babes and ready to head back home. Last night we attended a bowling benefit for MS in honor of one of our dearest friends and fellow triplet mom, Nicole. It was SO much fun and Dave even wore his "party shirt" for the event. It must have brought him good luck because he bowled a 224 with seven strikes in a row. He had so much fun that he even slept in his party shirt - party animal! We look forward to going home to Bismarck for Easter to be with our family. We love our Papas and Grandmas and can't wait to see them and share time together. We love you and miss you and are counting down the days until Thursday. God bless friends and family.

We had a fantastic weekend! Saturday was gorgeous and the kiddos and I spent the entire afternoon biking and playing at the park and then we all headed up to Aunt Lisa's for time with family. Sunday after church and Sunday School, we had to be out of our home all afternoon due to showings so we loaded up and went swimming at Lifetime, had treats at the DQ and "stopped in" the pet store nearby. Bad move. We are all officially in love with a puppy we can't have, YET! To top it all off, the sweet little boy was on sale for only $199! LTD were overjoyed but Dad's deal is this...when we sell our home, THEN we can get a dog. Let's just say the prayers are flowing ubundantly up to Heaven. It would be a miracle if he was still there when we go back; good thing we all believe in miracles :)

BFF

Lately we have gotten the opportunity to share some quality time with one of our favorite families, the Ericksons. We cherish their friendship and always have such fun times with them. Below are a few photos from the last few gatherings. Last week, Mama Erickson took the boys so they could have their own "guy time" and I took the girls. The boys were thrilled to just be boys with no sisters around, biked outside and enjoyed the great outdoors. The girls and I first went on a nature walk, painted artwork indoors and then moved the art studio outdoors for some chalk work. This past Friday, our families had pizza night at the Erickson's and when it came time to put the PJ's on, the boys had the same PJ's and so did Aimee and Taylor. It was such a riot! We love our dear friends and look forward to many more great times together!

Generous Hearts

Just 2 weeks ago, I received the opportunity to call into our favorite radio station, KTIS, since "Taylor" was the name of the day. Anybody who has a child named Taylor was to call in and share why that child is so special. So Taylor got to hear mom talk on the radio with David and Pam of KTIS as to why she is a gift from God. Her eyes lit up and she was SO excited when Dad let her listen to it on the radio. So cool!

Just this week, KTIS was hosting a Share-A-Thon on the radio and Dave and I called in to donate to such a wonderful ministry since it benefits so many people, including our family. But LTD were listening the next day and heard how children were donating too. So they said they wanted to give $ to KTIS. They went into their piggy banks and picked out how much they each wanted to give and we called in. It was so sweet since they each picked much more than I would have expected. I even questioned them on the amounts but they were insistent. Once again, Camp Clark was on the radio!

Their generous little hearts are proof of the beauty of God within each of us. We are all here to help one another, however we can. I love how God works within the hearts of our children to teach us about love, compassion, forgiveness, accepting one another as we are, etc.

Below are a few photos of 3 little angels on earth. One is from "Character Day" at school (they wanted to be Farmer Brown's ducks - Mom was Farmer Brown). These costumes were bought for them at 3 or 4 yrs old for Halloween and they are STILL their favorite costume. Definitely worth the investment! The other photo is a snapshot mom took early this morning of Taylor and Lindsey snuggled in watching cartoons.

SKATES!

From ice skates to roller skates, we've got it covered this season. LTD just finished up their first official ice skating lessons this past week which was comical and we will most likely do it again next season. But if they have their choice, they would MUCH rather be on roller skates. This morning we met a few other families from our school and went rollerskating at a local rink. They have big field trip coming up at school next week and it was fun to get a little practice in before the big event. LTD had received roller skates as a Christmas gift and they have loved scooting around in our lower level and at the rink. They are getting really good at it but their favorite part is speed skating with mom and dad. We take one child at a time (Dave holds one hand; I hold the other) and we go FAST! Talk about smiles galore.

Snowman Village

This past week, we had a few beautiful days so LTD were outside ALOT. One night when I got home from work, they had constructed their very own "Snowman Village". They went out in the backwoods picked up fallen tree branches & sticks and brought them all to the front yard and stuck them upright in the snow for the "trees" of the village. They each made their own snowman and they also made one for our neighbors in their yard and one by our mailbox for the mailman. Dylan made a sign that said, "FREE TO LOOK" that he taped to a long stick and waved at people walking or driving by. Needless to say, we had alot of gawkers but thankfully no crashes. It was hysterical and I wish it would have been just a little less dark outside. Most of my photos didn't turn out that well. Here are just a few:

Texas Vacation 2011

There goes almost one month since our last blog update! Needless to say, we have been VERY busy since mid-February, and it's "all good". We just returned from Texas after a week with Papa and Grandma Clark in Rockport, TX and time with my brother, Bruce, in San Antonio. It was a fantastic trip, great weather and fond memories. The weather was warm and we got to partake in lots of fun activities. Let's see, we spent time on the Riverwalk in San Antonio with Uncle Bruce, spent lots of time at the beach (right on the Gulf), swam in the ocean, built a ton of sand castles, the kiddos fished with Papa Clark, we enjoyed crabbing with Grandma & Papa (Taylor netted the biggest crab), ate LOTS of fresh seafood (Grandma's seafood boil was outstanding!), fed the pigeons (right out of our hands), Dave & Papa golfed, we played Joker's after the kiddos were in bed (Girls Rule!), we swam in the pool, and basically enjoyed southern hospitality at it's finest. We have been back only a few days and miss it greatly. HUGE thank you to Papa & Grandma Clark and Uncle Bruce for your time and love.

That's what happens when you let little ones take photos :) Oh well, the photos have some character.
