Ecclesiastes 4:12 (NLT)

"A person standing alone can be attacked and defeated, but two can stand back-to-back and conquer. THREE are even better, for a triple-braided cord is not easily broken."

GREAT Times!

What a fun-tastic weekend we had!! It started with a day at the MN State Fair with the Brigham Family on Friday. It was a hot day but thank goodness for the nice breeze. We pretty much did it all, ate it all and drank it all! LTD had an absolute blast with the Brigham children and Dave and I thoroughly enjoyed more time with Derek and Lynn. Derek scored VIP parking as part of his RUSH concert ticket package so late-afternoon, we all took a break from the sea of people and headed to his rockstar parking area. It was perfect! Right next to the grandstand in a shaded, grassy area. All the children ran around playing games on the grass while the adults enjoyed a few ice cold barley pops. Later, the men attended the RUSH concert while Lynn and I closed out our day visiting a few more hot spots and pet a few more animals (the bunnies and piglets were SO adorable). Feel free to check out our MN State Fair Album by clicking on the KodakGallery link on this web page, right hand side. Below are just a few photos:

LOVE!!!
Saturday, the kiddos and I got to share the day with Ms. Vicky and her sweet children at her beautiful pool. LTD had SO much fun, especially with the diving board. Sidney and Rayna were teaching them how to dive off of it; it was super hilarious watching them go for it. They swam for 4 hrs straight (took a slight lunch break) while Vicky and I got a chance to catch up with each other. It was so refreshing.
Today after church, we headed over to some new friends of ours (Julie and Jim) who we bumped into at the school picnic last week. Their son is going to our same school but will be in first grade. Julie and I used to hang out together many years ago and it was such a nice surprise to find out our kiddos will be going to school together. We thoroughly enjoyed our afternoon at their beautiful home but I seriously think LTD enjoyed it even more. It's fun to see them make new friends.......and for us to reconnect with old friends as well. We look forward to many more fun times with J & J and already have plans to golf together in a few weeks.
Summer is almost over and school is around the corner so we are going to enjoy this last week as much as humanly possible. We are definitely going to close out Summer 2010 with a bang!
